About

Now age 16, Sheridan Thomas was born in West Yorkshire. She has already travelled and seen parts of the world that most other 16-year olds only dream of. Sheridan started singing before she could talk. At 4 years old, she was on church choir and performed in church shows and charity events in Manchester and at her primary school Cheshire, and was always willing to perform and act at any given opportunity.

Sheridan first went to Hong Kong when she was 5 years with her mother who was working and relocated there. While living there she learned Mandarin and was able to travel to other countries, like China, Vietnam, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Bali, Dubai, America, Thailand, India, Singapore and Malaysia.

Expanding her horizons, Sheridan and her mother moved to Jamaica when she was nearly 10 years old. In Jamaica she recorded her first song, titled “Put Your Mind to it”. After recording it, she released it the next day, Ron Muchette and Elise Kelly from “Irie FM” were the first to start her music career in a big way. She started to do interviews for Elise Kelly from “Irie FM”, a huge icon out there, known as Queen Elise Kelly. Ron Muschette was pushing her music and making her known to a point of requests for her music. She also had DJ Shinehead, DJ Sunshine, Big A, Mighty Mike, all DJ out there supporting her. Sheridan received a warm welcome in the music business in Jamaica and a lot of support from local music lovers.
Sheridan was then approached by “I Wayne’s” management, Loyal Soldiers, to record titled tracks “Shotta”, “Jetlag” and “Butterfly” all on I Wayne’s instrumentals and all played on all major stations in Jamaica such as Irie FM, Roots FA. She also performed live for Jamaican icon, Richie B, live on radio in front of her school of 1500 students as well a huge demographic that listened to it on the radio live.

She has been around major artists in Jamaica who have all shown their support for her. Artists such as The Marley’s, Beenie Man, Elephant man, I Wayne, Capleton, Buju Banton, Bunnie Wailor, Jah Cure, Gyptian, Morgan heritage, Little Capes, Gregory Issacs and many more. Her tracks were played on major radio stations across Jamaica, Japan, India, and UK and across the Pacific.

Sheridan moved back to the UK in 2004, flying in and out of Jamaica. From Jamaica Sheridan went to Cannes with her mother’s work and lived in France. She performed at beach festivals and local film festival gigs along with interviews in France, Nice and Cannes for local radio stations.

Back in the UK after her mother finished her Cannes project, she was home schooled. Seeing more of the world than most can think of at an early age, and crafting her music skills along the way. With each interview and stage performance she has come to perfect and hone her natural musical abilities with stage presence at such an early age. Sheridan also did a lot for local schools going to talk to young people about life and music.

From 2007-2010 she also focused on classical training. She has continued to perform at schools and locally for various charities and also took part in a pilgrimage to Lourdes to work with the sick and dying, adults and children. Sheridan loves helping others and using her god-given gifts for charity. Because of her travels she has seen the rich and the poor and appreciates everything that has been given to her. This actually inspires her music and her lyrical writings.

Now, in 2011, Sheridan is working hard to launch her music on a larger scale. While only 16 years of age, she is ready mentally and physically for the challenges ahead. Now signed to the Black Wall Street family Sheridan is excited at the year ahead and the opportunity to work with such huge artists she admires and respects.
